outsourcing web design

Digital marketing is comprised of several separate components. Sometimes it’s difficult to manage each digital marketing platform. Each website has its own specific purpose and allows businesses to communicate in a certain way. If businesses just throw one general strategy together that encompasses all platforms, they won’t be particularly successful in any area.

Some marketers understand this and have accepted that they can’t control each aspect of their digital marketing campaign. Instead of trying to do it all on their own, they outsource specific efforts that they’re not very effective in. By doing this, marketers can focus on the tasks that they’re best at and hire professionals for the ones they need help with.

A recent survey conducted by Social Media Examiner prompted respondents with several questions related to digital marketing. Here are the results regarding which efforts they outsource:

  • 14% of respondents said they outsource web design and development
  • 12% of respondents said they outsource content creation
  • 10% of respondents said they outsource analytics
  • 7% of respondents said they outsource monitoring
  • 6% of respondents said they outsource research

According to the survey, web design is the most popular area of social media marketing to outsource. And there are a lot of reasons for this, too.

For one, web design isn’t just something that anyone can do. It takes a deep understanding and an updated knowledge of the industry. There are always new trends in web design and the average marketer doesn’t have the time to keep up with them and update the website accordingly.

The other reason is that web design is incredibly important in digital marketing. Websites leave a major impact on consumers and may even lead to or prevent purchases in some scenarios. If there’s one area of digital marketing to outsource to professionals, web design is it.
