We are always expanding here at Unidad22. This year and last, we were fortunate enough to take on a few new interns – some of which have became full-time employees with our company! As we want to get to know all of our employees, we have decided to sit down and ask some questions to the Costa Rican born and Dutch raised Diego Roa Centeno: our latest front-end developer intern.
Tell me a bit about yourself?
My name is Diego Roa Centeno and I am Tico (Costa Rican). Currently I am in my third year of my Information Communication and Technology studies at the HZ University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands/Holland. My studies concern IT and consultancy and require analytic thinking, accuracy and good communication. For my education, it is necessary to do a 5 to 6 months internship to put my accumulated knowledge and experience into practice but also to improve myself and to get more knowledge and experience in my business life.
What do you do at Unidad22?
I am doing my internship at Unidad22. From the beginning of February to the beginning of June, practicing to become a professional at front-end development
What made you want to get into web development?
Web Development is something I wanted to learn because for me it’s fun to do, interesting and also necessary in business.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on improving my skills on the front-end languages by doing some tasks for Unidad22. This includes correcting or improving functions on for example the CRM system.
What is it about front-end development that you like the most?
What I like the most about front-end development is the overview that the languages offers during programming. If I were to be correcting or improving a function, at that instant i could see if the function works by looking at the page.
Is there anything regarding your future in web development that you’re excited about?
I am more excited about working for Unidad22 as I know this will be a huge step for me to become a professional Front-end Developer.
